Egypt's Presidential Election Commission (PEC) has said that 87,591 votes were cast by Egyptians voting abroad since overseas polls opened on Thursday, with Gulf countries leading the turnout. PEC official Tarek Shebl told Reuters-affiliated website Aswat Masriya that over 18,000 Egyptians had voted in Kuwait and 23,000 in Saudi Arabia.
