The second day of expat voting in Egypt's presidential elections begun on Friday, after Egyptian authorities described the first day the polls were open overseas as a success.
Over 65,000 people turned out at Egyptian embassies and consulates on Thursday, according to Abdel-Aziz Salman, spokesman for the Presidential Elections Commission (PEC), adding that queues were particularly long in Arab Gulf states.
The first expat polling station to open is in New Zealand's capital Wellington, while the last is at the Egyptian consulate in Los Angeles, USA.
After Friday, Egyptians living abroad still have two more days to cast their ballots at Egyptian embassies and consulates in 124 countries.
Elections at home will take place on 26-27 May. Voters will choose between two candidates: former military chief Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the favourite, and leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi.
Foreign ministry spokesman Badr Abdel-Aty said the ministry had not received any complaints of major violations in polling stations on Thursday.
However, Sabahi's campaign said its overseas representatives had witnessed violations ranging from insults directed at his supporters to people campaigning on site for El-Sisi.
During a referendum on the country's new constitution in January, around 107,000 of 600,000 eligible expatriates voted.
