Egyptian national team goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy has extended his stay at Ahly for another three years.
"Ekramy has signed a three-year contract extension with Ahly," Alaa Abdel-Sadeq, the club's football supervisor, told their official website on Wednesday.
"I am Ahly's son and I will continue with them no matter what," Ekramy said. "It is very difficult to say no to Ahly."
The 30-year-old goalie first played for the team in 2004. He had a five-year experience abroad with Dutch side Feyenoord.
He has played for Egypt since 2003, starting with the Under-20 team.
Abdel-Sadeq said the contract extensions of midfield trio Ahmed Fathi, Hossam Ashour and Abdullah Al-Said would be announced at a press conference Saturday.
"The three players are very important to the team and there is no arguments regarding their stay. All details about their contracts will announced at a presser after the Nkana game," he added.
After being eliminated from this season's Champions League, Ahly are bidding to be the first Egyptian team to win CAF Confederation Cup.
Ahly begin their group stage matches against Nkana on Saturday at Petro-Sport Stadium in Cairo. No fans will be in attendance.
The Zambian delegation is due to arrive on Wednesday. The next match will be in Tunisia on 25 May against Etoile Sportive du Sahel -- before facing their third match against the Ivory Coast's Sewe Sport.
"The Nkana game will be hard. We must focus on making a good start to this round, for the sake of Ahly's image continentally," Ekramy said.
