CAIRO: U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson confirmed the U.S. is keen on cooperating with the Egyptian government and people on more common benefits projects. Patterson made these comments at the signing of a cooperation memorandum between the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and the College of Business Administration at Toledo University, Ohio to offer a masters degree in business administration. Patterson also said there will be more opportunities for Egyptians to get business administration certificates accredited by U.S. universities after the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and Toledo University announced a new initiative offering master degrees in business administration in Egypt. This cooperation will be useful for both American and Egyptian people in creating more jobs, encouraging opportunities and sending a message to the world that Egypt is a tourist and investment destination, added Patterson. The business administration master degree initiative will provide Egyptians with a chance to get the degree without having to leave Egypt. The program will consist of 11 subjects taught across 15 months. All the lectures will be given at the Career Development Center of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. The initiative aims to develop higher education in Egypt, creating more jobs, opening new fields for graduates and providing opportunities for master students without them having to travel abroad.
