Zachary: funding main problem facing research

Nadia Zachary, Minister of State for Scientific Research, said that funding is one of the greatest problems facing scientific research in Egypt.
Zachary also said that scientific research funding accounted for 0.6 percent of the public budget, including aid.
The minister praised the National Salvation Government for including three female ministers. She said that creates new hope for women's political participation in coming period.
Zachary expressed her hope to leave a mark on scientific research in Egypt since many researchers are waiting for the ministry, which separated recently from the Ministry of Higher Education.
Zachary was a professor in the Institute of Oncology. She received her masters degree studying the chemistry and biology of tumors
