Germany to give political asylum to 900 Arab refugees

German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich today announced a formal approval to receive 900 political refugees over the next three years, mainly from Egypt, Libya and Syria.
“Germany will host the political refugees for three years,” the minister said in a released statement, citing the political instability in the region.
“These countries have seen violence, forcing many inhabitants to flee,” he continued. “It is incumbent on Germany to give them political asylum.”
