RAFAH: An Egyptian soldier was shot and injured by smugglers while he serving in North Sinai governorate. Mohamed Ragab Mansour, 20, of the Central Security Forces was transferred to Rafah Central Hospital. Mansour was serving at International Mark 25 when he was surprised by a group of smugglers trafficking Africans. He confronted them and tried to prevent their crossing. Mansour was shot in the right shoulder after an exchange of gunfire. At Rafah Central Hospital he received First Aid, and after surgery he was in stable condition. Relevant authorities were notified of the incident and are searching for the smugglers.
