Israel allocates US $1m to enhance tourism

JERUSALEM: The investment committee of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism allocated5.6 million EGP (U.S. $936,232) to establish 43 projects in the Negev Desert, Mount Carmel, Haifa, and Jerusalem aiming to increase tourism.
The project aims to establish 20 firms and 80 settlement units between 2011 to 2013. The Israeli Ministry of Tourism invests around 35.9 million EGP (U.S. $6 million) to encourage businessmen to invest in Israel.
