Goethe Institution hosts international conference on culture and politics

CAIRO: The Goethe Institute in Cairo organized an international conference on culture and politics in cooperation with the Culture Resource Foundation. The conference will be held next week, December 7-8.
The conference will witness a international participation, including participants from Germany, Britain, Spain, Turkey and some Arab states.
The conference will discuss the current situation in culture and politics within the Arab and Mediterranean states and the role played by culture in the current change.
The conference will discuss reform of national culture policies and the role played by civil society and cultural initiatives, by setting examples for Arab and Mediterranean states such as Turkey, Spain and Greece.
