Supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) are prepared to receive the results the vote count in Cairo's district 6 after the preliminary tally indicated the party won 70 percent of the votes. Freedom and Justice candidate for the individual worker's seat, Mostafa Farghaly, said the preliminary results indicate a runoff between him and independent candidate Mohsen Fawzy. There will likely be a run-off election for the professional seat as well, as the percentage of votes was close between independent candidate Gameela Ismail, Free Egyptians Party representative Mohamed Abu Hamed, and FJP candidate Amr Khodr. FJP official Osama Sedky said that his party won more than 70 percent of the votes, followed by the Egyptian Bloc, the Continuing Revolution list, and then al-Wafd Party.
