CAIRO: Hundreds of residents of Cairo's Shubra neighborhood turned out early this morning to participate in Egypt's first parliamentary elections after the January 25 Revolution. They queued outside polling stations amid intensive security presence of both police and military forces. Representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice Party gathered outside polling stations to guide voters to their committees and their numbers in the voting lists. They raised the banners supporting the party and distributed a sample ballot including the candidates of the party. Representatives of Reform and Development Party toured in the electoral district, demanding people to vote for their candidates.
