Political activists Mohamed Awad and Asmaa Mahfouz suspended their electoral campaigns to protest against violence against demonstrators. Mahfouz told Youm7 she would not send her representatives to electoral committees, adding that she would not leave Cairo's Tahrir Square until the demands of revolution are responded to. Mahfouz called on her supporters not to raise banners for her. She added that a national salvation government with full authority must be formed. Public Coordinator of the Youth Movement for Freedom and Justice, Mohamed Awad, said that they would resume a strike in Tahrir Square until demands raised by revolutionaries are met.
