CAIRO: Tourism will be better in Egypt following the halt in clashes in Tahrir Square and elsewhere in Egypt, said Fathy Nour, the executive director of Egypt for Hotels. “The revival of tourism depends on security and stability returning to Egyptian streets,” Nour said, while also mentioning that the completion of parliamentary elections will spur tourism. “Egypt is suffering from an unstable situation,” he added. “Over six million employees in the tourism sector have been affected by the instability,” he continued. “Some hotels and tourist facilities have halted operations completely.” Some hotels, both private and public, used the opportunity to reform facilities so as to be prepared for tourists at the end of the crisis, he added.
