CAIRO: The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces is considering delaying parliamentary elections in Cairo and Alexandria, said head of the Supreme Electoral Committee (SEC) Abdel Moez Ibrahim Saturday. In an interview with the talk show "Egypt Decides,” Ibrahim said the upcoming parliamentary elections would be the most dangerous one in Egypt's history. The time of voting is enough for all Egyptian voters to cast their ballots, and an additional committee could provide the voters the time to cast their votes if necessary, Ibrahim said. The turnout could exceed the last constitutional referendum in March, he expected. The results for the individual seats would be announced the day after the vote. The results for party lists would be announced after they are sorted. SEC head ordered the judges to close polling stations in case that they are attacked. Thirty-five judges recused themselves from monitoring polls due to health reasons before last week's clashes in Tahrir Square. Another ten recused themselves after the clashes for security reasons, but their recusals were refused by the Committee, said Ibrahim.
