CAIRO: Islamic organizations position towards Friday's November 25 million-man demonstration varied. Muslim Brotherhood (MB) leaders and the Islamic group announced they will boycott Friday's million-man demonstration in fear of the postponement of the democratic shift. However, leaders of Al-Asala Salafi Party and leaders of the Salafi Front decided to join the protest in rejection of the violence against the protesters over the past six days. The official MB spokesperson Mohamed Ghazlan said the MB's decision to boycott the million-man protest did not change. In the same context, an Islamic group member Assem Abdel Majed criticized the political powers call for the million-man protest and called dubbed it the “elections' postponement protest." "The April 6 Youth Movement and communists seek to postpone the elections to take over power by inciting youth to attack the Ministry of Interior, which will lead to more bloodshed," Majed added. He also said the April 6 Youth Movement and communists do not want to stop the violence so they could form a presidential council, enabling them to run the state. The official Salafi's Al-Nour Party spokesman Mohamed Said said party members have been in Tahrir Square since Tuesday November 22 and aided in forming human shields between the protesters in Tahrir Square and Mohamed Mahmoud St. to avoid any further casualties. The vice-chairman of Al-Asala Salafi Party Mamdouh Ismail said a genuine shift towards democracy means Egypt's ruling military council should end, adding the party will participate in the million-man demonstration.
