CAIRO: At least 38 people have been killed in violent confrontations between police and demonstrators across Egypt over the last six days, according to Ministry of Health spokesman Mohamed al-Sharbeeni. Sharbeeni said 33 people have been killed in Cairo, two each in Alexandria and Ismailia, and one in Marsa Matrouh. Deputy Minister of Health for Medical Treatment Affairs Adel al-Adawi said ambulances carried 301 injured persons to Cairo hospitals yesterday, Wednesday. He said an additional 368 injured received medical treatment in mobile clinics in Tahrir Square. A medic at one of Tahrir's field hospitals told Youm7 yesterday that at least 600 people had been brought into that clinic alone over the past 24 hours.
