CAIRO: The Egyptian Public Prosecution summoned certain officials from the Minister of Interior for investigation over the Tahrir clashes between protesters and security forces, which led to the deaths and injuries of dozens of Egyptian citizens, according to the prosecution spokesman Adel el-Said. The prosecution called upon all those who have information to help the prosecution in investigations, especially about the incidents in Mohammad Mahmoud Street and other near places, he added. The prosecutors are from the north, south and the middle of Cairo prosecutions for investigation. The prosecutors listened to the testimonies of the martyrs' relatives while around more than 400 accused people have been investigated. Most of them were set free and the other will be released after being investigated. The investigations began on Friday evening, he added. Regarding the investigations into the Maspiro clashes, he noted the prosecution will continue the investigations after checking all files out from the military prosecution. The three U.S. citizens who were arrested in Mohammad Mahmoud Street during the clashes will be referred to the prosecution within a few hours, according to el-Said.
