CAIRO: Egyptian Central Security Forces withdrew suddenly from Tahrir Square in the direction of the Semiramis Hotel, leaving the area open for demonstrators to return and reoccupy the symbolic epicenter in Cairo. Demonstrators caught two security officers and two plain-clothes officers and roughly removed them from the Sqaure. “We Want a Civil State,” demonstrators at the entrances of the Square chanted. The demonstrators who dominated today's protest were largely non-political and unified, much like the demonstrations during the January 25 Revolution that overthrew former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his erstwhile regime.
