Railway traffic resumes after stopping for eight hours

The movement of trains in Upper Egypt resumed last night after being stopped for more than eight hours due to water pipe breaking, according to Hani Hegab, head of the Railway Authority.
Hegab said the authority removed the water, which was up to 40cm deep (15.7 inches) in places.
The authority redirected trains to Giza station when the water drowned the railway station.
