South Sinai, Egypt: Security forces in Sinai arrested 15 Bedouins for the rioting that took place on Tuesday in Abu Lourdes in the South Sinai governorate after a sit-in prevented Belayim Petroleum Company workers from being transferred. Security forces blocked the road to protect the passengers, as Bedouins started shooting the passing cars with guns. The security forces held negotiations with the tribes' Sheikhs to end the sit-in and release the workers detained inside. More than 500 Bedouins organized a sit-in outside the company in protest at the lack of jobs provided for them by the company.
