FJP chief condemns aggressive Israeli military posturing

Director-General of the Egyptian Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Mohamed Saad Katani today criticized announcements made by Israeli Chief of Staff Benny Giansts, which threatened a military operation against the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
Katani warned, via a statement on Wednesday, of potential consequences of such attacks and demanded that Israel not target holy Islamic territories. He also said that he considers such declarations a threat to the stability in the region.
The Israeli military official delivered these statements to the Israeli Knesset, and argued that Israeli troops should organize a military operation against the Gaza Strip.
The recent escalation by Palestinians against South Israel cannot be left ignored, he argued.
