The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Egyptian consulates and embassies around the world have used unconventional means to enable expatriate Egyptians to register to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Egyptian embassies and consulates urged expatriate Egyptians to register for the upcoming parliamentary elections, whether through the official electronic site, or through diplomatic missions where they received registration assistance. The Egyptian diplomatic mission in Germany posted a registration announcement at Churches and Mosques belonging to the Egyptian community there. In Dhaka, Bangladesh, the Egyptian embassy used text messages to inform the Egyptian community how to register using the electronic site and welcomed those who need assistance to the embassy. In coordination with the Egyptian club in Stockholm, the Egyptian embassy in Sweden published registration procedures on the embassy's official site and on the embassy's official Facebook page.
