Justice Party's electoral program

Youm7 obtained a copy of the Justice Party's electoral program for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Egypt. The Justice Party will present its program in a press conference entitled ‘Justice for all Egyptians' tomorrow November 11.
The program includes five main themes:
• Providing better jobs and improving salary wages.
• Secure streets for children.
• Regain the Egyptians' dignity and prestige.
• Confirming the right of having good health and medical care for all Egyptians.
The Justice Party put forth a full program to end the unemployment crisis. It focuses on:
• Supporting small and medium projects.
• Encouraging competitive sectors.
• Supporting industries depending on raw materials in Egypt.
• Encouraging universities and institutes to hold training courses for demanding fields.
• Holding infrastructure projects intensively including hospitals and railways.
• Establishing urban communities and metropolis particularly on coasts.
• Developing cities on coasts to be giant international ports.
Regarding wages, Justice Party suggested:
• Issuing a law for minimum wages in both governmental and private sectors.
• Canceling custom and sales taxes of strategy materials particularly food commodities.
• Stopping food commodities export for six months.
• Replacing in kind support by financial support to unify prices of same products.
The Justice Party announced their full support for the second article of the Egyptian constitution. They also support separating authorities according to the balanced presidential parliamentary system. They agree on full independence for the judiciary authority. They also want to limit the armed forces' role in the national security and reserving Egyptians' dignity and freedom.
The Justice Party also supports:
• Unions' independences.
• Gradual transfer to a decentralization phase.
• Gradual reduction of state control in economic issues to be limited to medical, educational and social care fields.
• Fighting against poverty and unemployment.
• Activate supervisory, regulatory and guideline role of the government.
• Gradual shrink for the role of administrative system of the state.
The Justice Party confirmed it is important for police system to hold a new strategy to focus on protecting citizens and reserve their dignity, and not to protect the regime.
They prepared short and long term plans for that. Short-term plan includes:
• Stop police officers and policemen who do not do their jobs properly.
• Hold reconciliation hearing trials between police forces and residents in many regions.
• Increase wages for minor leaders and provide medical care for them.
• Activate investigation systems in the Ministry of Interior and increase its powers.
• Create civil, political and judiciary supervision to the police system.
The long-term plan includes:
• Develop the Police Academy and change its methods and administration to produce policemen who respect their duty and respect the citizens.
• Reform the police system, particularly central security and national security sectors.
• Reduce police system powers and transfer some of its issues to another ministries.
• Develop and support criminal investigation using the latest technology.
• Analyzing events, discover dangers and prepare plans to prevent them.
They also put forth a full program including the right to free education to all citizens by:
• Increasing shares of education and scientific research in the general budget.
• Increasing teachers' wages.
Regarding medicine, the party decided to:
• Increase the shares of medicine in the general budget to reach ten percent.
• Increase taxes on cigarettes and tobacco industries for a better environment.
• Prepare a good medical system.
