CAIRO: Egyptian national carrier EgyptAir will resume flights to Tripoli on November 17, once damages to the Tripoli Airport are completed. The airport was damaged during the Libyan uprising. Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Hussien Massoud said the decision to resume the flights to Libya came fulfill the company's earlier announcement about reopening the route as soon as airport repairs were complete. He said EgyptAir has completed the required measures to operate the airline. EgyptAir head Ayman Nasr said that the company will conduct 11 flights to the Libyan city each week once flights resume. EgyptAir is scheduled to increase its flights gradually, according to the policy of supply and demand, until returning to the regular schedule in place before the no-fly zone was imposed on Libya.
