Member of the National Justice Council of Ministers Amir Ramzy said Al-Azhar formally consented to the Law unifying Houses of Worship, common with some requests for amendments. He added the approval was formally made by through Head Sheikh of Al-Azhar Mahmoud Azab and member of the National Justice Council. The approval was sent to the Ministry of Justice along with a request for amendments. He added Al-Azhar's and the Christian churches' approval means the law will be released as soon as possible and may be ratified after the Islamic holidays of Eid al-Adha and after the final adjustments, based on the recommendations from Islamic and Christian religious institutions. He said there were some controversies concerning the law, including giving license authority to the governor and another point of development standards for the construction of places of worship. Ramzy said the law would not provide a complete solution to the problem unless it is implemented properly.
