Vice President of Freedom and Justice Party, Essam el-Erian, refused to deliver a speech in a mosque during his first electoral tours in the Giza neighborhood of Monib Wednesday, committing to the orders of the High Committee of Elections to not use places of worship for campaigning. The Imam of the mosque requested Erian deliver a word to worshippers. Erian expressed his respect for laws that prevent using such places for campaigning. Erian toured public areas wishing passersby and shop owners a blessed Eid al-Adha. Erian accused political powers supporting Ali Selmy's supraconstitutional principles document of working to impede the next parliamentary elections. He appreciated the residents of the neighborhood who support the Muslim Brotherhood and the Freedom and Justice Party. Erian requested they strive to achieve a better future for the country.
