Egypt's Red Sea resort towns of Sharm el-Sheikh and Safaga will receive the first tourist groups for the winter season tomorrow, Tuesday, November 1. The winter season begins in November and lasts until the end of April. The port cities of Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada, Safaga, Ain Sokhna and Alexandria witness great demand during winter season. Chairman of the Red Sea Ports Authority Mohamed Abdul Kader said bookings of tourist agencies reveal that tourism to Egypt is in great demand, particularly to Sharm el-Sheikh, which has signed contracts with 100 agencies. Abdul Kader said this demand assures that tourist agencies believe the security state is stable and that Egypt can achieve security and face the insecurity that followed the country's January 25 Revolution.
