QENA, Egypt: The Egyptian Revolution Youth Union in the governorate of Qena, Upper Egypt, called on Thursday October 27 to participate in the Friday demonstration in el-Saa Square of Gena. The protest demands handing over authority to an elected a civil government as soon as possible, activating the Law of Treachery against those who corrupted the political life and demands to cancel the Emergency Law. Members of al-Karama Party in Qena will participate in the Friday demonstration on October 28 to focus on demands of the January 25 Revolution, especially in handing over authority to an elected civil government with April as a deadline. Their demands also include releasing all political detainees, Al-Karama Party spokesman in Qena Kamal Ahmed said. There are negotiations with both Al-Tagamu Party and the Muslim Brotherhood on their participation in the demonstration.
