Egyptian Minster of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Salah Farag, in cooperation with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry, Mahmoud Eissa issued decision 1864 of 2011 to stop importing cotton temporary until all Egyptian cotton crops are contracted for the 2011 season. Head of the services sector in Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture Salah Moawad confirmed there is another decision 1863 to form a committee to monitor international prices of cotton index A. This committee will meet every 15 days.
