JERUSALEM: The execution of the swap arrangement between Egypt and Israel wherein alleged spy Ilan Grapel will be exchanged for 25 Egyptian prisoners will take place Thursday at dawn near the Taba crossing in Sinai, Kol Israel reported. The swap will take place under intense Sinai security presence. Egyptian authorities beefed up their security presence in Taba and near the crossing; there are patrols along the Middle Road and the Sharm el-Sheikh-Taba Road to ensure calm during the swap, an Egyptian security source said. South Sinai governor Khaled Fouda and South Sinai Director of Security Mohammad Nagib will be present during the swap, the source added. Egyptian criminal investigation units will check the identities of Egyptian prisoners, the source said.
