Egyptian Minister of Agriculture Salah Youssef said he did not receive any calls from the EU to resume the ban on Egyptian seeds from the European market since said ban ended. Youssef said any state has the right to ban if a problem was found. "We have evidence proving Egyptian seeds are free of E-Coli, in case EU's final report extends the ban duration," he added. There were claims the EU was going to extend the band on Egyptian exported seeds from the European market next March.
