EGYPT: Egyptian residents of the village of Manyal Sheha in southern Giza set fire to the trees around Egyptian businessman Salah Diab's villa. Diab escaped in an army armored vehicle from the residents, who gathered in front of his villa Saturday October 22, before beginning to set fire to the trees. Diab tried to build a wall around his villa on his neighbor's land and residents clashed with guards of the villa. The guards shot residents and injured 15 citizens with their rifles. About 5,000 citizens of the village of Manyal Sheha in southern Giza gathered in front of Diab's villa to take revenge. Diab tried to get out his villa but the residents prevented him from escaping. 30 central security cars and three armloads were sent to protect Salah Daib's villa.
