Egyptian media reported the prominent Egyptian author Anis Mansour died on October 21, how Amr Hamzawy demanded the military council and the Egyptian government to apologize to Egyptians for the Maspiro clashes.
Lecturer of political science and sociology at AUC, Mona Makram Ebeid, said Al-Wafd Party became a follower of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egyptian Minister of Finance made press statements about the minimum and maximum wages. He also said the support for the highly consumed products will be reduced.
Youm7:
Under-secretary of Egypt Liberty Party, Amr Hamzawy denied the comprehensive isolation of members of the dissolved National Democratic Party (NDP) in his interview with Youm7 newspaper.
He explained many members of the dissolved NDP are more patriotic than the opposition figures.
Hamzawy said political elitism did not run the pre-elections scene in a way that copes with challenges. He also denied the existence of an international fact-finding committee regarding the Maspiro clashes.
He said Egypt's ruling military council and the Egyptian government are obligated to make an apology for Egyptians over the clashes.
Al-Ahram:
Egyptian political parties are racing time to finish their electoral lists before the end of the running period. The period of running for the parliamentary and Shura elections are scheduled to end today.
The majority of political parties are in a confusing state as they finish their electoral lists. 20 political parties demanded to extend the running period until they are finished with their electoral lists.
Al-Akhbar:
Egyptian Minister of Aviation Lutfi Kamal said he managed to convince workers inside the ministry there is nothing wrong about a military member becoming minister.
Al-Masry Al-Youm:
The Egyptian newspaper knew the National Council for Human Rights demanded the government and military council to present documents and evidence they have regarding the Maspiro clashes as a prelude for the council's announcement regarding the incidents.
Political science professor Mona Makram Ebeid said the Coptic Christian are terrified of Salafi trends and how the religion section in the national identification card should be abolished. She said this in an interview with the newspaper.
Mona Makram Ebeid said she does not have any problems in the case of a military member elected for presidential elections and she said Al-Wafd Party is turning into a ladder the MB can climb.
Al-Shorouq:
“If the application of maximum and minimum wages and reduction of support for highly consumed products aren't agreed upon by the beginning of the next year, I will leave the government,” warned Egyptian Minister of Finance, Hazem al-Beblawi.
He also said the new gas export agreement with Jordan will provide the public budget U.S. $1.2 billion annually.
A source from the Egyptian Ministry of Irrigation said Egypt does not attend the technical meeting of the Nile basin states, currently held in the Tanzanian capital, Dar el-Salam.
He also confirmed Egypt still freezes its activity with the Nile basin initiative despite being told it will renew the cooperation.
