CAIRO: Today 14 revolutionary movements called upon the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) to open the candidacies for presidential candidates on April 5, 2012 so as to ensure the elections on May 5, 2012. Any indication of procrastination or postponement or lack of response from SCAF later than October 27, 2011 will result in a mass demonstration on Friday October 28, 2011 followed by possible escalation, the 14 movements said in a statement on Friday. Among the signatories to the statement were The Second Revolution of Anger Movement, The Central Campaign of Sheikh Hazem Salah Abu Ismail, the April 6 Youth Movement, The Democratic Front Party, The Union of the Egyptian Revolution, The Campaign of Sheikh Wagdy Ghoneim, A Muslim Parliament, Bedaya, The Salafi Front, Get Up Egypt Movement, Salafyo Costa and the Haq Movement.
