Dozens of members of the Syrian community in Egypt organized a march from Omar Makram Mosque to Tahrir Square to express their protest against the crimes committed by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria. The demonstration witnessed the participation of a number of Egyptians who expressed their support for Syrians and demand the Al-Assad to resign and to suspend the bloodshed. The demonstrators said Al-Assad will face the same destiny the former Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi did since he is involved in killing his people, who raised legal demands during the Syrian revolution. In the same context, about thirty demonstrators performed the Friday prayers in Tahrir Square, lead by Dean of the Islamic Studies Institute Gameel Alam. Alam presented during his Friday sermon what he described as a national salvation map, drafted by a number of legal and constitutional professors, to resolve Egypt's crisis in just three months especially since Egypt's ruling military council failed to confront the current problems in Egypt. Alam said his plan includes the formation of a civil presidential council composed of nine members representing different political and national powers in addition to a member of the military council. He added the council should focus on drawing out state public policy during the current transitional stage. He raised the necessity of dissolving the current cabinet and to form another government with experts who can save Egypt and end the violence and chaos dominated the past few months. He also demanded the reconstruction of Egypt's Minister of Interior with security experts.
