“Youm7” received word that the military prosecutor summoned Father Metyas Nasr, priest of the Church of the Virgin at Ezbet el-Nakhl Thursday afternoon. The priest was summoned as part of investigations into the Maspiro Clashes Sunday. Father Nasr was surprised to learn that he was accused of inciting violence at Maspiro. He believed would be giving statements in a case he filed against General Ibrahim Dematy. Nasr accused the military police official of assaulting him. Other activists of the Maspiro Youth were expected to be summoned. The Maspiro Youth condemned the investigators for targeting Father Nasr, and letting the real perpetrators go free. They stressed that the military prosecutor is likely to transfer the case to the Attorney General, saying the military council is a party in the case and thus cannot investigate it.
