CAIRO: The Interim Supervisor Judicial Council, chaired by Judge Hassan Abdel Hamid, decided to cancel the decision to holding Bar Association elections on November 11. The council also postponed the elections until issuing a report from a committee mandated by the Ministry of Justice to control the statements of the General Assembly of the Association. The Judicial Council adjourned the elections for the association's chairmanship for the third time, so tensions aroused between the lawyers and the committee members. Sameh Ashour, one of the candidates for the association's presidency, threatened the committee of making it unable to run the association's affairs or monitor the election process. Some lawyers accused the committee members of curbing the elections for Muslim Brotherhood candidates' sake. They also oppose postponing the elections of the Bar Associations for avoiding the parliamentary elections.
