Prime Minister Essam Sharaf visited Pope Shenouda III, leader of the Coptic Church, to express condolences for the victims of the Maspiro clashes Thursday morning. They discussed the repercussions of the crisis and necessary steps that should be taken to resolve it. Sharaf also listened to the church's plan to contain Coptic anger, which increased after the clashes. Minister of Tourism Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour also attended the meeting.
