Israel officially apologized to Egypt today and offered condolences over the deaths of six Egyptian soldiers, according to Egyptian Foregn Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr. The soldiers were killed on the Egypt-Israel border by Israeli gunfire in August. Amr announcement came during a press conference. The Israeli apology is a response to the Egyptian request by the committee appointed to follow up on consequences of border incidents, Amr added.
