Egypt FM: UK has not warned citizens away from Egypt

CAIRO: Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Amr Rushdi denied media reports claiming that the U.K. Foreign Office issued a warning to its citizens on travel to Egypt and advised U.K. nationals to leave Egypt.
Rushdi called the media reports "baseless." He said Britain confirmed there are no restrictions on traveling to Egypt.
The spokesman wondered why such rumors were spread to harm tourism, a major source of income for many Egyptians. Rushdi called on all media to be accurate in covering news during this critical period.
