Hundreds of the Copts protested today inside the Orthodox Cathedral criticizing the Coptic Christian Church's reaction to the Maspiro Attacks. The Copts chanted against the Holy Synod for their silence regarding what the incidents. They denounced the Synod's policy of reconciliation and inaction, chanting "We won't be silent anymore, we hated the low voice." Groups tried to pacify protesters when Pope Shenouda III arrived and blessed before returning to the Papal Office. Bishops with the Pope went out to pray for the departed's souls.
