Thousand of protesters are demanding the retrieval of the dead bodies from the Coptic Hospital in Ramses Street, resulted from the events in Maspiro on Sunday October 9. Not all the bodies were released to the families of the Maspiro victims. According to activists and journalists on Twitter, hospitals aren't releasing the corpses until the victims' families sign hospital papers stating the victims died from burns and fractures rather than gunshots. The dead bodies released were sent to St. Mark's Cathedral in Abasseya in coffins. Thousands of mourners and protesters chanted inside and out the church against Egypt's ruling military council and its chairman, Hussein Tantawi. Slogans included, “Down, down with Tantawi!” and “Tantawi, Tantawi, the right of Copts won't be forgotten!” Central security forces sent armored vehicles on Ramses Street, 100 meters away from the Coptic Hospital in case of any potential clashes.
