JERUSALEM: The Israeli government agreed of the Egyptian Authority's request to deploy additional military squads along the Egyptian-Israeli border, according to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronot. The Egyptian request aims to stop and prevent armed extremists from sabotaging any action inside Israel or along the Egyptian-Israeli border. This squad will join the 14 squads already existing along the borders. The paper noted deploying this squad is the first of additional troops after signing the Camp David peace treaty in 1979. In other news, an Israeli delegation visited Egypt on Sunday to discuss the situation in Sinai and the case of deaths of Egyptian soldiers in August by Israeli guns, said a senior Israeli official.
