Egypt's stock market indexes started its transactions with a large rise during morning transactions Sunday October 9 in the first session of the week. The rise was a result of Arab and foreigner investors' purchasing processes, while Egyptian investors' transactions continued to sell. The EGX30 index rose at the rate of 1.3 percent, and EGX20 also witnessed a rise at the rate of 0.95 percent. Medium and small company index EGX70 rose at the rate of 0.14 percent, and EGX100, the largest index, rose at the rate of 0.49 percent. The major stocks also rose during the morning transactions, including Talaat Mustafa stocks, which rose at the rate 0.29 percent, Palm Hills stock by 0.85 percent, Orascom Construction stock by 2.5 percent and Hermes stock by 2 percent.
