Egypt's Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting gathering the Public Authority for Agricultural Development, representatives of Land Reclamation authority, representatives of the Desert Research Centers and leaders of the ministry on Tuesday. The meeting discussed the distribution of land allocated to fresh graduates to the residents of Sinai, in addition to how to develop investments in Egypt. Head of the services sector of the ministry, Salah Mowad, told Youm7 they offered proposals to provide the residents of Sinai with 20 acres of agricultural lands to each family. This will help them establish the required projects aiming to achieve development in Sinai. He added the proposals will be reviewed legally before presenting them to Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf. He added the ministry will form committees aiming to monitor violations conducted against the agricultural lands in the governorates of North and South Sinai.
