The price of a Gold Egyptian Pound rose 2.8 percent last July to 2173.7 EGP ($364.71), according to the latest report from the Central Bank of Egypt. The report said the price of a gram of 21 carat gold reached 259.4 EGP (U.S. $43.52), while a gram of 18 carat gold reached 222.3 EGP (U.S. $37.30). Monday, gold rose by 2.34 precent according to Bloomberg, closing at 16 Gold recorded a rise in today's transactions by 2.34 percent, to reach U.S. $1,660.30 (9895.38 EGP) an ounce, according to Bloomberg.
