Egyptian presidential candidate Amr Moussa claimed Egypt's ruling military council to reconsider the steps of transitional phase and end it by mid-2012. Moussa criticized the military council's statement, which was issued after its meeting with leaders of political parties stating to extend its transitional phase. He expressed his concern about the military council extending its transitional phase. “The main demands of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution is to transfer power to an elected civil authority, although the military council's statement delay the transfer of power to an indefinite target,” Moussa said. However, Moussa welcomed the more positive results of the meeting including putting an end to trying civilians in military courts. He confirmed the extension of the transitional phase will aggravate Egypt's economic situation and extend tension in the political scene in Egypt. Moussa suggested once again the forming of a consulting council gathering all political forces in order to allow more chances for discussion of all political issues.
