The governorate of Giza, the Egyptian Tourism Development Institute, UNECSO representatives and the World Tourism Organization will hold a meeting during the next few days to put the final plan of developing tourism in Dahshour by developing its international heritage sites. “There are ten international and local institutes participating, implementing and improving the international heritage sites in Dahshour. The governorate in cooperation with special institutes will research about facilities of implementing touristic investments,” the governor of Giza Ali Abdel Rahman said. He added there will be instructions following this investment, in the Berket Dahshour region, natural reserves and archeological sites in Dahshour. The governor added the touristic development of Dahshour will include constructing new routes to entrances and exits of the region, as well as renewal of the existing routes. He added the government allocated 330,000 EGP (U.S. $55,322) for the project of public illumination in Dahshour. Dahshour's citizens called upon Giza governor to provide fairs to publicize their production goods including carpets, embroidery and others. The governor promised to have all governorates' possibilities to stand by them and their demands. “The governorate of Dahshour is now on the list of world heritage for what it obtained from archeological regions attracting tourists,” Abdel Rahman said. The governor assured this region will be on top of the region, where the governorate will implement many projects. Abdel Rahman announced the allocation of 50 million EGP (U.S. $8.4 million) from the Ministry of Tourism to develop tourism in Dahshour. The governorate promises to support touristic activities in villages by improving skills, provide training programs for 3,000 people from Dahshour in the field of special environmental industries and publicize tourist resources through online websites.
