Main stock market index EGX30 declined last week by 4.56 percent at a record of 4.137 points. Medium and small companies index EGX70 also declined by 11.63 percent, at a record of 458 points. The most common index EGX100 declined by 9.61 percent at a record of 708 points. The total value of transactions reached 1.6 billion EGP (U.S. $268.2 billion), while transactions reached 381 million on paper and 103,000 in the trade process. Nile stock market reached a transactions value record of 6.5 million EGP (U.S. $1.09 million) and amount of transaction reached one million EGP in paper and 79 in trade process during the week. Shares took 93.78 percent of total transactions meanwhile assets took 6.22 percent.
