Egyptian presidential candidate, Mohamed Selim al-Awa, announced he will suspend his presidential campaign until taking serious procedures in transferring the power from Egypt's ruling military council and the temporary transitional government to an elected civilian authority. Al-Awa said criticized the decision of carrying out the parliament elections of the People's Assembly and the Shura council as well within three month, even when it was expected to finish by end of this year at most and receive the authority by the end of February 2012. He said such extending the parliamentary elections will lead to liquidation of security and more of a mess, which may postpone any efforts to achieve economic stability. "It is fruitless effort to continue the campaign without knowing a definite deadline to transition authority from the military to the elected civilians," al-Awa said.
